Demi Lovato is returning to her Disney roots.

According to “Just Jared,” the former “Sonny with a Chance” star recorded a new song called “Let It Go” for Disney’s latest animated flick, “Frozen.”

Lovato released the track on Twitter Monday, writing, ““Here it is!!!! Listen to my version of #LetItGo from Disney’s Frozen!!!”

The new animated musical takes place in a land called Arendelle that has been plagued by endless winter because of an accident caused by a powerful girl named Elsa (Idina Menzel).

Her sister, Anna (Kristen Bell), goes on a quest to find her with the help of a “mountain man” named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and a talking snowman, Olaf (Josh Gad).

With lyrics like “A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I’m the queen / The wind is howling like the swirling storm inside / Couldn’t keep it in / Heaven knows I try,” it sounds like Elsa could be singing this track after her powers get out of control.

“Frozen” will sled into theaters in 3D on Thanksgiving Day. What did you think of Demi’s “Let It Go”?
