Sophia Grace and Rosie are certainly not slackers.
At just 10 and 7 years old, respectively, the adorable duo have signed on to star in a potential new comedy series at NBC produced by Ellen DeGeneres, Deadline reports.
The plot details for the project have not been announced, but the “Ellen” fan favorites are also starring in a new straight-to-DVD feature film in the vein of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
They’ll play versions of themselves who “are sent to be correspondents at a royal coronation: one of three princesses is going to be chosen to lead the country. The two girls find themselves caught up in royal intrigue as they help the best candidate lead the throne.”
Over the past two years, the girls have proven to be a boon for DeGeneres, garnering more than 60 million hits for Sophia Grace’s duet with Nicki Minaj alone.
The news comes after Sophia Grace, who along with Rosie has shown off her comedy chops on Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat,” was replaced on Disney’s “Into the Woods” adaptation with an older actress.
