It’s been a while since Shia LaBeouf has appeared on the silver screen, and he’s coming back with a vengeance.
In “Charlie Countryman,” LaBeouf as the titular American who meets a European woman (Evan Rachel Wood) after her father dies next to him on a plane, according to CinemaBlend.
Charlie attempts to console her and soon finds himself falling in love. From there, things take a turn from the weird to the weirder as Wood’s character “happens to be the ‘property’ of a crime boss,” played by ever-creepy “Hannibal” star Mads Mikkelsen.
In order to be with her, Charlie must dive into the criminal underworld, facing a great deal of danger and, from the trailer, take a number of hits to the face.
The film also stars Oscar winner Melissa Leo, Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” franchise) and Vincent D’Onofrio.
“Charlie Countryman” will debut in limited release on November 15.
