Two beloved children’s classics are getting another go at the big screen.
“The Hollywood Reporter” is reporting that Disney has greenlit a live-action feature film starring “101 Dalmatians” villain Cruella de Vil.
Plot details on the film are being kept under wraps, but interestingly, Glenn Close is on board as an executive producer for the film, which has been dubbed “Cruella.”
Though she is not signed on to star, Close was the first actress to take on a live-action Cruella, when she starred in “101 Dalmatians” and its sequel, “102 Dalmatians.”
“THR” also announced that a fourth “Chronicles of Narnia” film is in the works as well, this time based on “The Silver Chair.”
Based on C.S. Lewis’s iconic seven-part book series, film adaptations of “The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe,” “Voyage of the Dawn Treader” and “Prince Caspian” have been released.
“The Silver Chair” is set 50 years after “Dawn Treader” and features none of the original Pevensie children, so the movie will need to find a new cast.
