The Backstreet Boys are the greatest Boy Band of all time -- at least according to the readers of Entertainment Weekly.
The quintet swept the board in a week-long poll conducted by the magazine, dominating the Best Group Appearance, Best Dancers, Best Vocal Moments and Best Live Performance categories over rivals such as *NSYNC, Boyz II Men, New Kids on the Block, New Edition and One Direction.
EW credits to the strong showing to the fact that the group "never left...The boys have been part of our lives for the past 20 years...And then there`s the fact that they work hard to show their fans how much they love them. Between Backstreet cruises and concert after-parties, they make themselves accessible to their supporters in a big way."
The group's latest album, "In a World Like This," debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in August.
Backstreet wraps up a North American tour on September 8, then heads to Japan during October. Its next Backstreet Boys cruise departs October 25 from Miami.
