Backstreet’s back alright, but is *NSYNC next?
Billboard reports that the group might reunite for the first time since saying “Bye Bye Bye” in 2002.
According to the Billboard, the gang, Justin Timberlake included, are set to take the stage together at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Sunday night.
The guys are said to be celebrating Timberlake, who is likely to win the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award this weekend for his “pioneering and innovative impact” on music videos.
Though Justin’s former bandmates, J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone, attended the “Suit & Tie” singer’s show in Miami last week, *NSYNC has not made any major appearances together in a decade.
Whether the reunion does in fact take place, the VMAs will be a big night for Justin, who has been nominated for six awards, including Video of the Year for “Mirrors.”
The second volume Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” is set for release on September 30.
