Ben Stiller is about to enter a secret world, and no, we're not talking about another “Night at the Museum” sequel.
The first trailer for “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” has been released, which has the comedian showing off his dramatic chops as a magazine photo editor whose life bears little resemblance to his imaginative daydreams, until a lost negative changes everything.
Though Stiller hasn’t done a great deal of dramatic acting in the past, a cast that also includes “Bridesmaids” star Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott and Kathryn Hahn (“We’re the Millers”) promises a comedic touch.
The two-minute teaser features little dialogue from the film and is instead perfectly scored by the wonderful “Dirty Paws” from up-and-comers Of Monsters and Men.
The film is based on James Thurber’s short story from 1939, which was first adapted for the 1947 movie of the same name, according to EW.
“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” is due out in theaters this Christmas.
