Komen Charlotte’s Laugh for the Cure® is an event that generates hundreds of laughs and thousands of dollars towards ending breast cancer forever. Since 2002, this fun-filled evening has raised more than $700,000 to help local women manage a disease that affects them, their families, their co-workers and community.
2014’s best comedy and charity event will be held Saturday, January 18, in the Knight Theater. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions and a hilarious PG-13 comedy show featuring headliner, Tammy Pescatelli.
Laugh for the Cure is a grass-roots effort founded in 2002 in Charlotte, N.C. by a group of friends whose lives had each been touched by breast cancer. Led by Tammy Greyshock in celebration of her mother (now a 27 year survivor), the group founded the event to remember loved ones they'd lost, celebrate survivors and help those in our community currently impacted by the disease.
Doors open at 5:30pm for silent auction and hors d'oeuvres.
