Will Your Ex be Marleying You for Christmas
What in the heck is "Marleying?" It's just the latest crappy dating behavior that's become the norm. But this trend actually relates to Christmas because the name comes from Ebenezer Scrooge's ghost business partner Jacob Marley who appears out of nowhere on Christmas Eve after being gone for years.
Do you see where I am going with this? Marleying essentially is the opposite of being ghosted by someone. Instead of disappearing, this person kind of just reappears out of nowhere. Maybe it's an old college ex who you haven't talked to in 5 years.

Poof, just like that, they send you a "how are you" text message. Why is this person reaching out to you now after all of this time? Are they trying to see if you're down for some Holiday fun? Do they regret treating you the way they did and want to apologize? Are they bored or lonely?
I have definitely been marleyed although we didn't call it that back in the day. If you happen to be marleyed over the Holiday break just remember you broke up for a reason.
Now is the period many miss the ex, or an ex-partner pops up unexpectedly like the Marley Ghost. Ex for a reason, they fill your heart with doubt not love & strength #Marleying pic.twitter.com/kzKubX4Tp8
