Want to Sleep Better?

Sleep is so important! If I don't get enough sleep I am cranky and my productivity isn't worth much the next day! Plus if you consistently don't get enough sleep it can be bad for your health. 

Lack of sleep can make you look older, gain weight, and even impact your mental health. God, I wish I valued getting the proper amount of sleep when I was in my twenties! 

So what's the secret to getting a better night's sleep? 

According to a new study from The Mayo Clinic, letting your dog sleep with you can help get a better night's rest. But there's a catch!!

The newest Mayo study tracked the sleep quality of 40 dog-owning participants with no sleep disorders over the course of five months. The participants and their pooch had to wear monitoring devices that helped measure their sleep quality. 

Just having your dog in the room helps you sleep better because it offers a sense of security. But those who allow their dogs to sleep in the bed with them ended up getting less sleep overall. 

The moral of the story is simple, let the dog in the room, but keep them off the bed if you want to get the best sleep possible.
