Should Instagram Put A Stop To Accounts Made For Pets?

Some people think I am a crazy cat lady because I have full on conversations with my two cats. I also spoil them rotten. Plus if you follow me on Instagram, you know I love to take lots of photos and videos of them doing random things.

"Hi, my name is Stacy I live in Santa Monica, CA and am fostering 5, 5 week old kittens. As much work as it can be bottle feeding and cleaning up after these guys it is so rewarding. I can't wait to find the perfect home for each of them as I know they will be perfect little additions to someone's family!" - @Stay__seee

But I am not crazy enough that I have created them each their own Instagram account. I know many people who have pets that have their own Instagram and even Twitter accounts. I don't know about you, but sometimes I have a hard enough time managing my personal accounts that I wouldn't have time to also post on my pet's accounts too.

My best friend Haze's son's dog Chico has his own Instagram account. And while I don't have time to create accounts for either of my cats, I can appreciate accounts created for people's beloved pets.

Who wouldn't want to follow that adorable pup? A website called PostgradProblems seems to think these pages are just another example of what's wrong with social media today.

Here are my thoughts on these pages. There are some really crappy things going on in this World and we are constantly bombarded with them on social media. Cat videos and pet pictures make us happy and science has proven it. They boost our mood and mental health. So I say, if you have the time devout to creating an account for your adorable fur baby, do it! The world needs more cat and dog pics and less sadness!
