Dating APPs Success Rates Hit All Time High
Online dating sites and dating APPs have had a bad reputation for quite some time. How many people do you know that met their person online and still won't admit it? Why are we so weird? I get it. There are still a lot of people think that if you're using some APP or website that you're either desperate or just looking for a booty call. But a new study will put those assumptions to shame.
On any given day, you may hear me complain about dating and what a struggle it is. Although I am no longer using any dating APPs, I did not too long ago. I tried Bumble, Plenty of Fish, and Ok! Cupid. I met people from all three and had very different experiences. Sure, there were plenty of guys looking for a quick piece, but I am convinced there are women like that too. But I want to be in a monogamous, committed relationship. I'm not down to be some dude's booty call or a chick to hang out with out of convenience.
Perhaps the reason my success rate is in the crapper is that I didn't use Tinder. I haven't heard a lot of great things about Tinder. In fact, I have heard that's the APP to use if you are just looking for some action. I didn't even give the APP a second thought when I got back into the dating scene. Now a new study has come out that has me rethinking Tinder.
The Modern Dating Myths Survey, actually found that dating APPs have lead to more long-term relationships than meeting people the old fashioned way as in real life. Oh and wait, there's more! If you're looking for something serious, the best place to go is Tinder...?!?!?!? Only 9% of Tinder users find it hard to maintain a committed relationship.
Well, Bumble, PoF, and OKCupid... it's been real. I guess when I jump back on the dating bandwagon, I will give Tinder a chance.
