Donations Needed For Firefighters Battling Carolina Wildfires

November 17, 2016

There are currently 15 wildfires burning across Western North Carolina. And unfortunately, things are not getting better. The area has seen little to no rain making conditions favorable for fires to easily spread. Over 46,000 acres have burned and 1000 people have been evacuated.

The fires are only 15% contained and many firefighters from across the state are pitching in to help stop the raging fires. As we will be sitting down to say thanks and enjoy a big feast next week, they will be out continuing the fight.  As a way to show our support and appreciation to these brave men and women, we want to help in any way possible.

Fire departments across western NC and SC have requested donations to help the firefighters in action; however, the locations accepting donations are hours away from Charlotte. Therefore, Alter Imaging is providing a Charlotte drop off location for any and all donations and will hand-deliver them to the Landrum, SC location.

So what can you do to help?

  • lip balm
  • eye drops
  • nasal spray
  • bottled water
  • hydrating sports drinks
  • non-perishable portable snacks like granola bars and nuts
  • non-cotton boot socks
  • laundry detergent free of dyes and perfumes

Donation drop off times are weekdays from 9AM-5PM
